The Third Round of QMMF’s QSTK and QTCC Concludes at Lusail International Circuit

The third round of the Qatar Superstock 600 (QTSK 600) and Qatar Touring Car Championship (QTCC) took place at Lusail International Circuit on Friday, May 31st and Saturday June 1. Organized by the Qatar Motor and Motorcycle Federation (QMMF) and Lusail International Circuit (LIC), the championship provides a platform for local talent to showcase their riding and driving skills on the internationally renowned Lusail International Circuit. On Friday, for one of the championship events, riders and drivers took to the track for free practice and qualifying sessions before race day on Saturday. A total of 52 drivers and riders combined participated in the third round.

 

Race 1 of QSTK 600 was dominated by Abdulla Al Qubaisi, clocking in at 24 minutes 55.813 seconds, followed by Mashel Al Naimi at 25 minutes 15.406 seconds, and Saeed Al Sulaiti concluding his session at 25 minutes 30.847 seconds. The results of Race 2 were not any different, with Abdulla Al Qubaisi again securing the top position on the podium, followed by Mashel Al Naimi and Saeed Al Sulaiti, clocking in at 25 minutes 02.701 seconds, 25 minutes 21.687 seconds, and 25 minutes 41.792 seconds, respectively.

 

Additionally, in the sub-category of QSTK 600 Trophy, Alexian Macary led the grid in Race 1, clocking in at 25 minutes 58.262 seconds, followed by Alexander Qabazard at 26 minutes 04.218 seconds and Emmanuel Geoffrey at 26 minutes 20.386 seconds. In Race 2, the results were similar, with Alexian Macary again clocking the fastest time at 25 minutes 46.789 seconds, followed closely by Alexander Qabazard at 25 minutes 46.822 seconds and Emmanuel Geoffrey at 26 minutes 11.918 seconds.

 

The Qatar Supersport 300 (QSSP 300) witnessed intense competition for the top position on the podium. Marton Bellelli led the grid with a time of 32 minutes 33.278 seconds in race 1, followed closely by Mahmoud El Banna at 32 minutes 33.640 seconds. Aaron Robinson secured third place at 32 minutes 41.592 seconds. However, in Race 2, Mahmoud El Banna took the lead, securing a time of 18 minutes 47.996 seconds, followed by Marton Bellelli at 18 minutes 48.053 seconds. Aaron Robinson secured the third position at 18 minutes 53.148 seconds.

 

Drivers fiercely competed for the top spot on the podium in QTCC Race 1, with Mansour Al Hajri leading the battle at 31 minutes 33.386 seconds, followed closely by Ghanim Al Madheed and Ahmed Al Asiri at 31 minutes 33.481 seconds and 31 minutes 33.719 seconds, respectively. However, the results in Race 2 were very different, with Abudlla Ali Al Khelaifi clocking the fastest time at 31 minutes 19.588 seconds, followed by Abdulaziz Al Sayed at 31 minutes 22.900 seconds, and Omran Karama at 31 minutes 24.230 seconds.
