QMA End Season Off Road Race with victories of Nolann Macary and Hamad Al Sahouti

Qatar Motorsports Academy was launched last November and to celebrate the end of the first season some races have been scheduled for the young riders. The first race,  the End Season Off Road Race , took place on Saturday 20th April, with 40 children competing for first time in a race.
 
There were two categories, Flat Track 70cc with 18 children and Flat Track 125cc with 22 children.
 
After the warm up sessions for each category, it took place the Superpole to determinate the order of the starting grid for the Superfinal.
 
In the Flat Track 70cc, the victory was for Nolann Macary who completed the 8 laps with a total time of 7:28.847. The French rider of 8 years old, who started in second place in the grid,  crossed the checkered flag in front of the 12 years old Malaysian rider Johann Ameer Zharfan by 6.140s.  The third place in the podium was for the Australian rider Jim Leo Nikitopoulos.
 
Qatari rider Hamad Al Sahouti, who took the Superpole in the Flat Track 125cc, was the winner in the Superfinal in his category. The 14 years old rider did the 12 laps around the track with a total time of 9:09.848. The second place was for the Qatari Saad Al Harqan and the 13 years old French rider Romeo Poure completed the podium.
 
Trophies were presented by Khalid Al Remaihi (LCSC Vice President and General Manager), Juan Baquero (LCSC CEO) and Jose Luis Cardoso (Head of QMA).
 
'I am very happy with the QMA End Season and glad to see that all the riders and their families enjoyed this amazing day and we saw a great improvement of all the children. All of them worked very hard during the season and we saw them competing for first time in a race and enjoying it. I want to thanks Dorna Sports SL, Aspire and Ministry of Culture and Sport for their support in the Academy and I am looking forward next weekend to see another exciting races with the children in the On Road Track. Also, I want to thank to all the instructors for their great job and to all the families and friends that came to support the young riders’ said Khalid Al Remaihi.
 
Next weekend it will take place the QMA End Season On Road Race with three different categories Minimotard 70, Supermotard 125 and MiniGP 110 at the on road track on the 26th 6 27th April.
