Al Sulaiti and Al Naimi share again the victories in QSTK
In the fourth round of the Qatar Superstock 600, the victory in the first race was for Saeed Al Sulaiti, followed by Nasser Al Malki and Mishal Al Naimi in third place.Young Qatar’s Abdullah Al Qubaisi had an amazing performance leading the first race during the first seven laps but unfortunately, he had a problem with the gear box and ended in fourth place. Hungarian rider Balint Kovacs finished in fifth place.Essa Al Mutawa won the first race in the QSTK Trophy with Soud Al Thani in second place and Jassim Al Thani in third place.In the second race of the day, during the first lap, Soud Al Thani crashed in turn 6 and the race was stopped with red flag. After the restart of the race with 10 laps only, Mishal Al Naimi pushed from the beginning taking the lead during the first five laps.In the sixth lap, Saeed Al Sulaiti overtook Mishal Al Naimi and lead the race but Al Sulaiti crashed in turn 15 at the last penultimate lap, being able to rejoin the race but Mishal took the victory.rnNasser Al Malki finished again in second place of the podium and Abdullah Al Qubaisi in third place.In the QSTK Trophy the second race winner was Jassim Al Thani and Essa Al Mutawa finished second. The Kuwaiti rider Mohammad Al Zaidan ended the race in third place.Saeed Al Sulaiti was happy with his win the first race but disappointed with the result in the second race ‘In the first race, I was not expecting this result as I had a bad day yesterday during the practices trying to find the right set up with these conditions and it was tough so I did some changed today and it was better’.‘In the second race, I had a good start and I know that Mishal will be strong with new tires. In the middle of the race I caught up Mishal but unfortunately in corner 15, I lost the front. Not happy with the crash, this is the second of the season but still there are some points and have the chance to come back’ said Al Sulaiti.‘Abdullah did a great job this weekend and I am really happy to see him in this form, I worked really hard with him and finally the work is paying off now. He is the youngest Qatari promising rider and we all are counting on him to take this sport to another level. Also thanks to my team for their support in the good and bad situations. ’ ended Al Sulaiti.For Mishal Al Naimi the weekend was very good as the is back leading the championship. ‘In the first race I had a problem with my arm and I tried to stay in the front group but not possible at the beginning. Later I pushed and I managed to be in second position but in the last lap I couldn’t break and control the bike so Nasser passed me and I finished third’ Al Naimi stated.‘In the second race, I tried to push from the first lap after the restart of the race I felt better with the bike as I put more pressure on the tyers but after four laps I had a problem with the tyres and I slowered half a second and it is when Saeed passed me. Overall very happy with the results, I am again leading the championship and many thanks to Ooredoo for sponsoring me and to Lusail Circuit Sports Club and QMMF for the championship’ said Al Naimi Nasser Al Malki was very lucky to finish the second race in second place as in the third lap he lost the slider and the clutch, so he rode the bike without knowing the angle. ‘It was difficult but good experience for me. I am very happy to finish second and happy for this result’ said Al Malki.Al Qubaisi was very happy with his results of the weekend and the podium ‘ I had a problem with the gearbox in the first race and unfortunately the mechanics didn’t have time to fix it for the second race. In any case, I am very happy with this weekend performance and I hope I can continue like this’ said Al Qubaisi.Essa Al Mutawa is now leading the QSTK trophy and hopes to keep the same performance ‘ In the second race I tried to win again and I pushed until the last four laps, but I had chattering in the front tyre and then I decided to take it easy and don’t fight and keep the position that is good for the championship as Soud was out in the second race , so try not to do any mistake and finish the race’ said Al Mutawa.Jassim Al Thani was very happy with his results this weekend taking into account that he started from the back of the grid and Kuwaiti rider Mohammed Al Zaidan also happy to be back to the podium ‘It was awesome, after long time I was not in the podium. I was always fighting and finished in the fourth position so it is great to be in the podium.
