MARC MARQUEZ CLAIMS DOMINANT VICTORY IN THAILAND AS MotoGP™ CALENDAR LOOKS AHEAD TO QATAR

Marc Marquez delivered a masterclass performance at the season-opening PT Grand Prix of Thailand, claiming victory on his Ducati Lenovo Team machine and becoming the first rider to win on their Ducati Grand Prix debut since Casey Stoner in 2007.

The six-time MotoGP™ World Champion converted his pole position into a commanding race win, completing the 26 laps in 39'37.244 with an average speed of 179.3 km/h. Marquez led from the start, maintaining his form from Saturday's Sprint Race victory and securing a perfect 25 points to strengthen his championship campaign.

In a thrilling family affair, Alex Marquez (BK8 Gresini Racing MotoGP) completed the podium in second place, 1.732 seconds behind his brother, while two time world champion Francesco Bagnaia (Ducati Lenovo Team) rounded out the podium in third position, 2.398 seconds off the pace.

The Chang International Circuit race saw impressive performances throughout the field, with Franco Morbidelli (Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team) and rookie sensation Ai Ogura (Trackhouse MotoGP Team) completing the top five. Ogura's result marked the best Grand Prix finish by a rookie since 2013.

As the MotoGP™ calendar progresses through its opening rounds, attention is turning to the fourth race of the championship season – the MotoGP™ Qatar Airways Grand Prix of Qatar, scheduled for April 11-13, 2025, at the Lusail International Circuit.

The Qatar event promises to deliver another spectacular weekend of racing under the iconic floodlights – the only venue in the championship offering night-time racing. This will mark the 21st edition of MotoGP™ on Qatari soil,  having hosted the championship since 2004.

Tickets to the 2025 MotoGP™ Qatar Airways Grand Prix of Qatar are starting at QAR 200, providing access to three days of non stop action from April 11-13. The package includes free seating within the Main Grandstand and General Admission zone, including the elevated viewing area at Lusail Hill Turn 1. Premium hospitality options are also available.
