Lusail International Circuit Showcases Diverse Racing Excellence with Three Major Events
Lusail International Circuit (LIC) recently demonstrated its versatility as Qatar's premier motorsport venue by hosting three distinctive automotive events that captured the essence of both competitive racing and exclusive driving experiences.
The Ferrari Track Day event, held from January 24 to 25, brought together 25 Ferrari enthusiasts for an exclusive high-performance driving experience. Under the guidance of Corsa Pilotas - Ferrari's expert driving instructors flown in directly from Maranello, Italy - participants had the unique opportunity to master the sophisticated Ferrari Portofino and experience the raw power of the Ferrari 812 Superfast's 6.5L V12 engine on LIC's world-class circuit.
Adding to the circuit's diverse calendar, on January 27th - 28th, the BMW M Track Experience showcased 12 iconic BMW M vehicles, with the new BMW M5 taking center stage. The event combined power, precision, and high-performance driving on LIC's track, demonstrating the capabilities of BMW's M series vehicles.
During an action-packed racing weekend from January 31 to February 1, LIC hosted the inaugural round of the 2025 Toyota GR Yaris Qatar Cup alongside the season finals of the QSTK/QTCC championships. The GR Yaris Cup featured an international grid of ten drivers from Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Italy, India, and Jordan, with Faisal Al Yafei emerging victorious in both races. The 2024 QSTK/QTCC finals provided intense competition across multiple categories, with Abdulla Al Qubaisi securing the QSTK 600 championship with 236 points, while Marton Bellelli claimed the QSSP 300 title with 195 points. In QTCC 2K, Abdulla Al Khelaifi emerged as champion with 107 points.
