LUSAIL, QATAR — [Date] — Excitement is building for FORMULA 1 QATAR AIRWAYS QATAR GRAND PRIX 2023, set to take place from 06 to 08 October at the Lusail International Circuit.
This year's event promises an unparalleled experience, blending the action of F1 racing with a rich tapestry of culture and an array of engaging activations.
From the inception of the Qatar Motor and Motorcycle Federation (QMMF) to the development of the circuit and FORMULA 1's significant involvement in the country, the Fan Zone will feature an exhibition with striking visuals and informative backdrops. The display will offer a comprehensive look at the evolution of the sport in Qatar. Additionally, the car exhibition showcases a selection of iconic cars from Mawater, with one representing each highlighted decade. This exhibit has been curated in collaboration with the Local Organizing Committee to provide visitors with an authentic and visually compelling experience.
For attendees seeking to learn about Qatar's rich heritage, the cultural experience booth offers immersive experiences highlighting Qatari tradition. Racegoers can enjoy Arabic coffee and tea while being surrounded by the aromatic displays of Oud and Bakhoor. They can try on traditional garments, explore the art of calligraphy on the interactive wall, and witness the live demonstrations of Sadu weaving.
Thrilling activities await fans of all ages. Adults can test their skills with the Batak Challenge, Buzz Wire, RC Car Racing, and make use of solar charging stations conveniently spread throughout the Fan Zone. The Woojer Experience, Think Fast challenges, face painting, and a 360-degree photo booth promise endless entertainment.
The Fan Zone will have a Bike Circuit, where attendees can pedal bikes to power a moving car along the track. Families with children will find activities in the central area of the Fan Zone, with Kids Go-Karting and games like Giant Ring Toss and Tic-Tac-Toe. Plus, convenient food stalls and shaded seating areas make the perfect spot for families to relax.
F1 Gift Shops are also located throughout the Fan Zone, providing easy access to a wide range of merchandise. Fans can capture memories through multiple activations like the F1 Driver Selfie experience, where augmented reality brings drivers next to participants for a perfect snapshot, fans can take photos on the iconic F1 Podium and F1 trophy. Along with that, racegoers can test their skills at the Pit Stop Challenge to see if they can change car tires in record time.
