Three young Qatari riders are participating in 2021 Idemitsu Asia Talent Cup

Three young Qatari riders, namely Yousif Al Darwish, Saad Al Harqan and Hamad Al Sohoti are in action at the ongoing pre-season test for 2021 Idemitsu Asia Talent Cup, which kicked off on the 19th of March at the Lusail International Circuit.

This season, the pre-season test for the Talent Cup is sharing the days with Moto2 and Moto3, with each class getting their own sessions across the three days as they gear up to head back out and compete. 

Following the cancellation of last year’s edition of the Cup, the 2020 riders were automatically given the chance to continue in the Idemitsu Asia Talent Cup and most accepted. 

The Qatari riders will be competing for five rookie spots to join the grid, replacing those who have graduated or elected not to return.

The first two rounds of the Idemitsu Asia Talent Cup will take place at the same venue prior to the Qatar and Doha Grand Prix MotoGP events on March 26-28 and April 2-4.
