Al-Sulaiti and Al-Darwish excelled in the second round of Qatar SuperStock Championship
Qatari riders Saeed Al-Sulaiti and Youssef Al-Darwish excelled in the second round of the Qatar Superstock Championship in its fifth edition, which was held over two days at the Lusail International Circuit with the participation of 26 riders representing eight countries.
In the strongest category / 600 cc / Al-Sulaiti managed to win the first race title, consisting of 12 laps and a distance of 64.6 km, after recording a time of 25.12.849 minutes, 0.100 seconds ahead of his closest competitor and compatriot Abdullah Al Qubaisi, while Meshaal Al Nuaimi occupied the third place after Record a time of 25.43.119 minutes.
Al-Sulaiti strengthened his lead in the general standings with 75 points, achieving the full score, and a full 15 points difference from his closest competitor, Al-Qubaisi, who came in second place with 60 points, while Al-Nuaimi finished third with 48 points.
Note that the second race for this round has been postponed to the third round, in the interest of the organizing committee for the safety of the riders after the rains at the Lusail International Circuit.
As for Youssef Al-Darwish, a rookie, he excelled in the "Trophy" and "300 CC" categories and managed to win the race title in the Trophy category after the second race was cancelled, while he combined the title of the two races in the 300cc category with merit. In the "Trophy" competitions, Al-Darwish managed to win the first race title after recording a time of 25.47,350 minutes, far behind his nearest competitor. Al-Darwish strengthened his lead in the general standings in the championship, determined to raise his score to 75 points, 35 points behind his closest competitors each of Kuwaiti Alexander Qabazard second and Hassan Al-Mansouri third. In the 300cc competitions, Al-Darwish combined the title of the two rounds, in the first race he won the title after scoring a time of 16.25,640 minutes, and in the second he also won the title after scoring a time of 16.21.928 minutes. In this category, Al-Darwish raised his score to 95 points at the top of the overall standings of the competition, 21 points ahead of his closest competitor, Hamad Al-Sahouti, with 74 points, while Saad Al-Harqan came in third place with 72 points.
