The QNB Grand Prix of Qatar is happening this weekend in Qatar

More than 60 riders from 18 nationalities will compete at a World Championship event this weekend at Lusail International Circuit. Special circumstances have prevented the MotoGP race from taking place but the QNB Grand Prix of Qatar is still happening next Sunday… and it will have a special look and feel.

Moto2 and Moto3 riders will line up for the first round of the 2020 World Championship. The unexpected absence of the elite of motorcycling will give the future of MotoGP the opportunity of turning into the main protagonists of the show that normally focuses on the riders of the major class.

These special circumstances will mean that for a change, flashes and headlines will be for Moto2 and Moto3, something riders and teams are very much aware of. This scenario will certainly be motivating and make the 2020 Qatar GP an especially important and challenging race for them.

And for us at the Lusail International Circuit as well. The anomalous circumstances that have occurred in recent days have not dampened the enthusiasm of our managers and workers—quite the contrary. After 17 years in a row of managing this World Championship in Qatar,  our commitment to maintain the level of professionalism that we have always shown remains at the maximum.
